Strawberry runner processor (in the packing shed)
Work duties
Handling strawberry runners in a production packing shed: grading, trimming, cleaning and packing; checking runners for quality, consistent size, damage or disease; preparing trays and packaging for daily dispatch; operating or helping with basic equipment under supervision; helping stack pallets, label and move stock; following hygiene, biosecurity and work safety rules; recording output and reporting quality or equipment problems; other general nursery duties.
Pay method
Hourly rate
AU$32.18–33.05/hour, plus penalty rates (as stated in the ad).
Hours
About 38 hours a week; possible overtime in peak season
Requirements
Physically fit, able to do repetitive manual work, Reliable, punctual and a team player, Attention to detail and a focus on quality, Can switch between tasks, Good communication, Experience in horticulture, nurseries, packing or produce handling is preferred but not required
