Online reviews and past workers' experiences

Compiled from Indeed, Glassdoor, backpacker blogs and the news. Everything is a paraphrased summary — follow the links to read the originals.

3.8/5

Indeed・40 reviews
Oaks Hotels, Resorts & Suites (across Australia, not a single hotel)

See the original reviews

Common praise

  • Some reviews say housekeeping supervisors are friendly and colleagues are easy to get along with
  • Reviews mention pay that is reasonable for the work, and flexible hours and location

Common complaints

  • Some reviews point to a weak company culture and little support from head office
  • Some reviews mention favouritism in rostering and too little recognition for staff
Indeed reviews cover Oaks properties across Australia, not only Broome/Port Douglas. No backpacker accounts or public Fair Work Ombudsman records about these hotels were found (only Indeed was checked; not searched one by one).
